Shoreline Greenway Trail 'First Saturday' Walk

Come join us for a beautiful and informative walk at Hammonasset
Beach State Park at 10 a.m. on Saturday February 1, 2014.

 Shoreline Greenway’s Madison Chair, Ginny Raff, will lead us
along the planned trail path from our new parking lot to the walkway across the
marsh.  We will continue along the completed trail section around the
peninsula offering spectacular marsh views and bird watching.  The
trail section that is not yet built is level and easy walking, and the
finished trail is easy with a few minor hills. The walk is about 2 miles
roundtrip and will last about 1 hour.

 Meet: at 10 a.m. at our new SGT eastern trailhead
parking lot off Route 1 just east of the Hammonasset entrance road.

Directions: Exit 62  from I95, go south to Route 1; make a
left onto Route 1 and a right into Hammonasset Beach State Park service road
and the SGT parking lot.
