Lee's Academy Summer Exhibit

The Business of Leisure:  Madison Welcomes its Summer Colony

In the late 19th and early 20th century, Madison evolved from an agricultural and maritime economy into one serving a growing seasonal community of cottagers and vacationers.  This exhibit is a fun and informative look at how Madison has changed - featuring costumes, artifacts and photographs.  Children can enjoy an "I-Spy" game crafted just for them.   The exhibit is open to the public every Saturday through August 31st from 11AM until 4PM.  Admission is free - donations are encouraged.  For additional information contact the Madison Historical Society at 203-245-4567 or madisoncthistorical.org.  Find us on Facebook and "like" us!
