Daniel Hand Girls Tennis team wins SCC Tournament

The 2013 DHHS girls tennis team and coach Kitty Palmer once again proved to be the best in the SCC. Beating their rival and previously undeafeated Amity foe 5-2 made the victory even more impressive. Having lost twice during the regular season to the Spartans the Tiger girls, led by Melissa Parker's reletentless spirit, showed tremendous determiniation in winning their fourth title in five years. Melissa's four hour three set match the day before against North Haven allowed the team to win 4-3 and move on to final against Amity.

Conratulations to the boys team and coach Dawn Fagerquist who also defeated Amity to win their first SCC title on the same day.
