As a Community Editor for Patch, I work with individuals and organizations to identify the best ways they can use Patch to achieve visibility and get the word out to their neighbors. I work with a region of 11 communities including Avon, Berlin, Canton, Farmington, Granby, East Granby, Meriden, Rocky Hill, Simsbury, Southington, and West Hartford.

I graduated from Ohio University in 2000 and went straight to work at the Monroe Evening News in Monroe, Michigan.  After that I worked for The Connecticut Post in Bridgeport, Conn.  Then it was off to Washington, D.C., where I became a freelance journalist while attending American University and studying for my Master's Degree.   I began working with Patch in 2010 in Granby as editor for The Granbys Patch. I came back to my hometown after launching Easley Patch in South Carolina. I welcome everyone to participate in our community Patch. There are so many opportunities to contribute to the site and share information, ideas, and opinion. I encourage everyone to log on and tell us what's important to you. Beliefs At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable. This disclosure is not a license to inject beliefs into stories or to dictate coverage according to them. In fact, the intent is the opposite: we hope that the knowledge that our beliefs are on the record will cause us to be ever mindful to write, report and edit in a fair, balanced way. Politics  I have no party affiliation and I would consider myself socially progressive.   Religion I was raised a Roman Catholic. I am open-minded about religion and feel that my spiritual beliefs are still evolving.
