I agree, Eileen. Not only is the headline highly misleading, I wonder how newsworthy a story about aRead More former property owner’s tax delinquency (structure since demolished) could possibly be. Who suggested this story, perhaps someone with an inexplicable, burning hatred for the Madison Beach Hotel, like Walter Lippman?

"That's not us," said Madison Beach Hotel General Manager John Mathers, of the delinquentRead More tax bill. "That is an older entity that no longer exists and is not associated with current ownership." The Madison Beach Hotel, owned by the Duques family, is not on the state's list of current top 100 delinquent taxpayers." So - this is an unpaid tax from the PREVIOUS owners, yet the headline of this story suggests that the present owners are tax scofflaws, which they are not. This is Sensationalism and very unfair to them. I'd strongly suggest changing the headline.

How about the parents pay room, board and tuition and let the kids work for the rest of theirRead More amenities. That might be the most imprtant lesson and gift of all.
