<p>With more than two miles of spectacular beach that can be enjoyed year-round, Hammonasset Beach State Park is a favorite with locals and with people from all over. The park has a boardwalk, nature trails, and picnic areas among other features. Biking and fishing are allowed in some areas.</p>
<p>The Meigs Point Nature Center at Hammonasset Beach State Park is open  10am to 5pm Tuesday through Saturday, from Spring through October. There is camping available at the park for those who would like to stay longer, along with a variety of inns and cottages for rent in the town of Madison and nearby.</p>

  • Accessibility Details: This park offers handicapped-accessible bathroom, boardwalk, camping, parking, picnic tables, and surf chairs.
  • Hours: 8am to sunset. Mid-May through the end of October, only campers and fisherman with passes may enter the park after sunset. All other months, in the off-season, the gates are locked at the end of the day.
