Weekend Planner: Grads! Lots Of Lobsters! Pig Roast! Taste The Shoreline, Yoga By The Sea, Day Of Mindfulness, Movies And More

It was a tough week for Madison, with the fire downtown, but summer is officially here on Friday, so let's make the best of this one!

When it comes to the weather, it looks like it just may be fabulously sunny Friday and Saturday. There is also a chance of thunderstorms Sunday, and an air quality alert Friday. If you're doing something outdoors, be sure to check the latest forecast first.

Love Your Local! This Weekend!

If you have something you need to buy downtown, or even if you don't, this would be a great weekend to show your love for your local by stopping by your favorite store and showing your support. Even if you purchase something small, or just stop by to provide a word of encouragement, it will be greatly appreciated.

Hordes Hitting The Green Friday Evening

Madison's Daniel Hand High School will be graduating another senior class on Friday, at 6 p.m. on the town green, so you might want to take the hordes of adoring parents and relatives into account as you plan your Friday evening. As a result of the graduation being on the town green, there will be no farmer's market in Madison on Friday. But they will be back next week! Congratulations graduates!

Tacos, Tag Sales, Food And Festivities

On Friday, Taco Pacifico will be at Lily Juliet to celebrate the food truck's appearance on NBC-TV. Stop by to celebrate!

In Guilford, Summer Fun at Greene Art Gallery is starting Friday.

On Saturday, stop by the Mercy Center for Yoga By The Sea in the morning.

Also on Saturday, there are tag sales on Fairview Drive, and Flintlock Drive (four old fogies!?), and an estate sale on Matteo Drive.

There also will be a Day of Mindfulness at the Mercy Center in Madison, and, in Guilford, a hike of the East River Preserve is planned.

On Sunday, you can check out the Remarkable Homes Tour and Straw Hat Soiree at Lee Academy in Madison. There also is a Pig Roast & BBQ Benefit for the CT Foodbank

Also on Sunday, there is a lobster and clam bake at the Surf Club to benefit the Madison fireworks fund. Your support is needed since the fund is currently short $10,000.

In Guilford, you can Taste The Shoreline, and enjoy the Guilford Rotary Lobster Fest.
