Madison Cultural Arts has sponsored the Concert on the Green since 1996 years, using the showmobile owned by the Town of Madison.
Through the years, wear and tear have taken a toll on the stage. An appeal to Madison painters went out from MCA for a very reasonable estimate for a touch-up.
One responded .
Art Conroy not only said “Yes”, he said, “It will be a gift from me”.
This is much more than a quick touch-up; it involved lots of prep work before the painting could begin.
Art’s gift not only benefits MCA’s big event, but Madison’s stage will be used by the town for its other outdoor events.
