Surf Club Easter Egg Hunt Moved To Saturday April 7

Possibility of rainy weather Saturday, March 31 prompts postponement.

 

Due to the possibility of bad weather this weekend, the 48th Annual Easter Egg Hunt has been moved to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 7 2012 at the in Madison, says Shari Roguski, president of the , which sponsors the hunt. 

Children who are in pre-kindergarten, and first and second grade are invited to attend with their parents. Roguski said the event draws a huge crowd every year.

"We get literally hundreds of kids. It's very well attended," she said. "It's fun to watch the kids storm out of the gates." 

The National Weather Service says the weather Saturday, March 31 is expected to be rainy and cold. Rain is expected, with the chance of precipitation about 80 percent, mainly before 11 a.m. Rainfall amounts of between a quarter and a half inch are possible, the NWS says, along with an east wind between eight and 13 mph.
