Vista Vocational & Life Skills Center Named One of Connecticut’s Top 50 Workplaces

Vista Vocational & Life Skills Center is pleased to announce recently being named one of Connecticut’s Top 50 Workplaces for 2012.  Sponsored locally by The Hartford Courant and administered by Workplace Dynamics, the philosophy of the Top Workplaces program is to survey employees, gauging employee satisfaction in numerous ways.

In all, nearly 650 companies (with 50+ employees) participated in this year’s program with over 11,500 employees completing the workplace survey.  Of all these companies, Vista Vocational & Life Skills Center placed in the “Top 50 Employers in Connecticut” as a participant in the small business category.  Ninety-two percent of Vista employees participated in the survey that was distributed for completion by all program participants.    

All of the “Top 50 Workplaces” were recently recognized by The Hartford Courant and Fox CT at a reception held at the Aquaturf in Southington, CT.  Winners were divided into three categories: small, medium and large-sized businesses and included companies such as Aetna, StubHub and William Ravies Real Estate.

Based in Madison and Westbrook, CT, Vista Vocational & Life Skills Center is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization.  Vista’s mission is to provide services and resources on an individualized basis to assist adults with disabilities to live independent and successful lives.
