Christmas Bed and Breakfast Open House Tour Benefits Madison Food Pantry

 Madison CT, November 26, 2012 — The Scranton Seahorse Inn and the Tidewater Inn, two of Madison CT’s bed and breakfast inns, are opening their homes to the public this Sunday, December 2, 2012, from 1 to 4 pm, for a Christmas Holiday Open House Tour, to benefit the Madison Food Pantry.

 The inns will have “decked the halls” for the holidays, each in their own unique style.  The inns’ personal ornaments and accessories will also be complemented by the handiwork of local businesses which are helping with or adding to the displays and thus able to feature what they can do to decorate your home for the holidays.

 As an added touch, ride from the center of Madison, at Ciao Bella, to the inns on a horse-drawn wagon with a footman from Foxglove Farm of Lyme CT. The first ride will begin at 1:00pm from the Tidewater Inn, and at 2:00pm the wagon and horses will join the Santa Paws parade before continuing the rides. Tour goers who would like a ride to or from the inns can board the wagon at Ciao Bella or at either of the inns. The last ride from Ciao Bella will be just after 4:00pm

 Everyone coming to tour the inns is asked to bring “Christmassy” non-perishable food items or a monetary donation for the Madison Food Pantry. Donations can be made at either of the two inns.

 The Open House Tour is a ticketed event, and tickets can be picked up ahead of time or on the day of the tour at Ciao Bella or at either of the two inns. There is no charge for the tickets, and they’ll be checked off when guests visit each inn. Visitors to both inns may turn their tickets in to certain Madison shops on Sunday afternoon for special discounts or a free gift, to be announced.
