The Source should be a better Source

Though i do enjoy reading my weekly issue of the Madison/Killingworth Source, again this week I am left wondering... Where's the rest of the story?  I am speaking specifically of the article that welcomes 60 new employees to the Madison School system.  
Superintendent Scarise has touted the fact that staff cuts have been made, commensurate with the continued declines in student enrollment.  So, my questions are:
How many students enrolled this year, and what is the decrease (or increase) over last year?  What does that decrease amount to since 2008?
Do the 60 new employes still represent a net decrease in staff, based on who retired this year?  What are those numbers?
These are not difficult questions, and I would have been thrilled if the author of this article had asked them.  The people of Madison have the right to know.
