Save The Date! Community Clam Dig Aug. 11th and 12th!

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Surf Club. Bring the whole family for a fun day of clamming. Little Neck and Cherrystone Clams will be stocked near the sailboat launch, with a special section for small children. Tools and a demonstration will be provided.

The Madison Shellfish Commission is sponsoring its a Community Clam Dig event. Bring the whole family for a fun day of clamming at the Surf Club. Little Neck and Cherrystone Clams will be stocked near the sailboat launch, with a special section designated for small children.

Members of the commission will supply clam rakes and will demonstrate clamming techniques, if requested.

A shellfish license is required and can be purchased at the Town Campus and Captain Morgan’s ahead of the event or near the Surf Club gate on the days of the event. The shellfish license will also allow access to the Surf Club during the time of the event.  This event is weather permitting, check the Shellfish hot line at (203)245-5600 option 3 for conditions.
