Two Madison girls, Caitie Darosa and Rachel Muskin, members of  the CT Polar Bear Girls Ice Hockey U16 team, won the Women's US National Tier II Hockey Tournament this past weekend in Frisco, TX.

It was not an easy path as they won two out of three round robin games to seed number two in the quarter finals.

Then they logged an exciting win over the Chicago Bruins in the  semi-finals in which they played four over time periods , lasting 3 hours and 42 minutes for a win to make finals Sunday morning.

They pulled off the win 4 - 3 over a team from San Jose, CA.

Rachel (center) had a great personal tournament, ranking 1st overall with 10 points (5 goals,5 assists) and Caitie (goalie) had a .966 save percentage , 1.03 GAA and ranked fourth overall for goalies.

Congratulations to Rachel and Caitie and their team!
