Tiger Captains Tour Rentschler, Prep For Big Weekend

Tigers attended a CIAC Luncheon at Rentschler Field Tuesday; Representatives from all eight qualifying teams meet the press before the championship games this weekend.

Captains and coaches from the Daniel Hand Football Team were invited to attend the annual CIAC football luncheon held during the week before the championship games.  The luncheon was held in the stadium club room at Rentschler Field.  The teams met with press representatives and toured the facility in preparation for their return this weekend.

Daniel Hand is scheduled to play New Canaan for the Class L Championship at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The attached picture was sent in by Daniel Hand High School Athletic Director Craig Semple.  Hand Captains Joe Demichele, Victor Buchetto, Dan Ives and Mitchell Pasqualoni are shown on the field during their tour.

Craig added the following comments along with the photo:

This group of Captains have exhibited outstanding leadership throughout the year, with their participation in community service and their overall leadership by example.  They have created a bond and trust amongst each other that will stay with them forever.  They are “brothers forever.”

The community of Madison is very supportive of all our athletic programs and we are so lucky to have great people in our Town that believe and support all the extracurricular activities our students participate in.

Go Tigers!

Advance sale tickets for the game are available at Daniel Hand High School or for telephone purchase contact Rosalba Corsino at Rentschler Field at 860-610-4770.

The weather report for Saturday calls for clear skies with highs in the low 40's, so you may want to sit on the sunny side - opposite the press box.  The CIAC also announced that there are a limited number of indoor seats available.  General seating is available in the club room for $30 per ticket and includes all three Saturday games.

There will also be Executive Suites available on a per game basis for groups of up to 20 people. Buyers must purchase the entire suite. The cost for a suite is $500 per game which includes 20 individual game tickets.  Click here for more information.
