Every year, the Masters Tournament, one of the PGA’s four major events and perhaps the most historic, is played at Augusta National Golf Course. And every year, the same debate arises: should women be able to play the golf course?
The club has refused to allow women to play the course or become members of the club since inception, arguing it is a private men’s social group that will remain private. But there have been protestors over the years, and now the president’s office has joined the list.
"We're long past the time when women should be excluded from anything," White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters on the first day of the Masters.
What do you think? Do you think women should be allowed to play and become members, or do you think a private club should be able to do what it wants?
