Mother's Day Hike

Join the Madison Land Conservation Trust for a Mother's Day hike  on the Neck River Trail. This relatively short trail offers a remarkable variety of ecological settings including a lovely stretch along the Neck River. This is an excellent family walk. Bring your camera to take photos for the 2011 MLCT Photo Contest. This outing will take about an hour. Waterproof footwear is advised, and dogs must be on a leash. In the event of rain or high winds, the hike will be canceled.

Directions: The trailhead is on Opening Hill Road, 0.8 mile south of its intersection with Blinnshed Road. From lower Madison, take Route 79 north to Green Hill Road. Turn west on Green Hill Road, north on Nortontown Road 0.5 mile, and then keep right on Opening Hill. From upper Madison, take Opening Hill Road from Route 79 and drive 3.3 miles to the trailhead.
