Madison Land Conservation Trust HIKE

Join the Madison Land Conservation Trust for a hike
on the scenic Mica Ledges Trail. The Mica Ledges Trail enjoys some of the best views in the area. The hike will last about 2 hours. Hikers should be ready for a few scrambles up and down rocky slopes. Sturdy shoes are recommended. Dogs must be on a leash. In the event of rain or high winds, the hike will be canceled.

Directions: The Mica Ledges trail head is at the end of Cream Pot Road in Durham. From the Madison traffic circle, take Route 79 north 7.9 miles to Route 17. Take a sharp left onto Route 17. Continue 1/10th of a mile south on Route 17, then turn left onto Route 77. Follow Route 77  7/10ths of a mile to Cream Pot Road on the lefthand side, between two stone pillars. Follow Cream Pot Road past the Durham town maintenance yard bearing right, up the hill. Continue uphill to the end, a small cul-de-sac. Park along the road or on the cul-de-sac. Questions?
