Why: New England’s newest cycling event, the Closer to Free Ride offers three spectacular routes, unmatched rider support and the chance to raise funds and awareness for Smilow Cancer Hospital’s life saving research and care.

Back for its second year after a hugely successful premiere, the “best organized ride in Connecticut” will start and finish at the Yale Bowl Complex in New Haven. Three professionally-designed, safe and scenic routes of 25, 65 and 100 miles will travel through communities including: New Haven, East Haven, Durham, Chester, Wallingford, Hamden, Guilford, Madison, Killingworth, Deep River, Essex, Old Saybrook, Westbrook, Clinton and Branford.

 

The Closer to Free Ride Road Crew supports riders every mile of the way and is essential to the event’s success.  We provide training, an incredible team environment, food and drink, a cool t-shirt and the chance to help save lives.  Road Crew spots fill up fast, so contact us to reserve your spot today.
