SYSO and WHIZ Kids now accepting new members

The Shoreline Youth Symphony and WHIZ Kids Orchestras are now accepting new members.  SYSO’s mission is to offer quality orchestral experiences for interested young musicians living in central coastal Connecticut.  We play the great classical symphonic music, original contemporary compositions for orchestra, as well as lighter “pops” music.  We also form smaller ensembles:  two jazz bands, a fiddle club, and anything young musicians might be interested in.  All of these elements create a great opportunity for students to musically grow, learn and contribute, all the while enjoying the company of other like-minded performers.

Anyone interested in joining can contact SYSO at Toscanini42@gmail.com

SYSO will be performing at the Bridgeport Tigers Hockey Game on Saturday, February 8th at 7:00 p.m at the Webster Bank Arena, 600 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT.  The Orchestra will be performing on the concourse from 6:00 to 6:50.  The Jazz Band will perform the National Anthem on the ice before the game.  Come and watch the Bridgeport Sound Tigers play the Albany Devils and enjoy the music of the Shoreline Youth Symphony Orchestra.
