Madison Public School Superintendent Thomas Scarice says there will be no school Monday, in the wake of a historic blizzard that dumped more than 30 inches of snow and ice on Madison.
"These guys are working as hard as they can, but there are still a lot of roads to clear," Scarice said Sunday afternoon.
Scarice said a decision about Tuesday will be made Monday after he is able to further assess the state of the roads with the help of town officials.
Other schools that are closed include The Country School in Madison, Madison Learning Center, Temple Beth Tikvah Nursery School in Madison, Montessori School-Madison, and Shoreline Christian School in Madison. Public schools in Clinton, Guilford and other surrounding towns are closed as well.
