Madison Student Earns Honors at Skidmore College

A Madison student was selected for membership into the college's Periclean Honors Forum.

Charles Lovejoy, a member of the Class of 2016 at Skidmore College, received academic recognition at the college this spring. He is the son of Andrew and Anne Lovejoy of Madison.

Lovejoy was selected for membership in the Periclean Honors Forum, which works to strengthen intellectual life at Skidmore and especially to encourage the academic aspirations of highly motivated and talented students. Formal membership in is based on academic accomplishment.

Academic prizes were announced during Honors Convocation, Skidmore's annual celebration of academic achievement. College President Philip A. Glotzbach, Professor of Biology Bernard P. Possidente, Professor of American Studies Mary C. Lynn, and Professor of Mathematics R. Daniel Hurwitz, were among those awarding prizes to students at the event, which took place this Spring on campus.
