Hand High student is local winner of C-SPAN's StudentCam competition

Comcast is bringing the C-SPAN Campaign 2012 Bus to Madison on its “Road to the White House” tour, named after C-SPAN’s signature political program. The Campaign Bus is stopping in Madison to honor a local student winner in C-SPAN’s StudentCam 2012 Competition.

StudentCam is an annual documentary competition that encourages students to create short films about political and public policy matters. This year’s theme – “The Constitution and You” – asked middle and high school students to select any provision of the U.S. Constitution and illustrate why it is important to them.

Joshua Stokes, student at Daniel Hand High School, is among the top 75 StudentCam winners, out of a total of 1,203 entries submitted from 43 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
