History Day on the Green 2013

On October 10 and 11th, second graders from Madison's public school and third graders from Our Lady of Mercy School spent the day on the Madison Green as part of their study of American history.

Students visited several different learning stations, including the hall of the First Congregational Church of Madison and the statue of James Madison on the Green.

They learned about their town history and what life was like for girls and boys in colonial and early Federal days. The program's sponsors included the Madison Historical Society, the Charlotte L. Evarts Memorial Archives, and the Deacon John Grave Foundation.
