Three Daniel Hand High School varsity soccer players helped sing the National Anthem before a game at the town's Surf Club field recently.
The young men are also members of Encore, the high school's award-winning musical group.
The soccer player/singers were Ian Richardson, Costa Loucopoulis and Jack Clarke. Credited with an assist on the National Anthem were Josiah Fox, Ash Razavian,Bekah Wade, Devon Holloran and Brenna Holloran.
After singing the National Anthem, the team took the field and won the game against Foran, 3-0, bringing their CIAC record for the year to 9-0-1.
And then they went home and did their homework.
