Daniel Hand High School Receives Award From Connecticut School Counselor Association

CSCA Bestows Professional Recognition Award for Outstanding Parent / Student Program For 2011

Daniel Hand High School has been chosen by the Connecticut School Counselor Association to receive the CSCA Professional Recognition Award for Outstanding Parent / Student Program for 2011.

 The award was based on the following criteria:

  • Adherence to the Connecticut Comprehensive School Counseling Program Guidelines
  • Evidence of accountability for student learning outcomes as well as program accountability
  • Evidence of standards based curriculum

 The award will be presented to Jean Baker, Director of Guidance and School Counseling and to DHHS School Counselors: Phyllis Annunziata, Christine Coyle, Mary Curran, Patricia Judson, and Cynthia Skarsten at a fall Madison Board of Education meeting. In addition, the award will be noted on the CSCA website and the school counselors will be recognized at the CSCA Annual Fall Conference in November, 2011
