Daniel Hand's show choir had its first competition today in Lowell, Massachusetts in the Mill City Show Choir Festival, competing with twelve other show choirs from New England, according to Ron Soja, choir director.

- Judges award for performance: Mike Gilchrist
- Judges award for outstanding instrumentalist: Nick Balow
