CAPT Testing Coming Up For High School Sophomores; Make Sure Your Kids Get a Good Night's Sleep And Breakfast Before

Testing Starts At The Beginning Of The Day, So Make Sure They Are On Time, Too

From Daniel Hand High School: During several days in March, all sophomores will be taking the Connecticut Academic Performance Test (CAPT). CAPT scores are part of Daniel Hand High School's graduation requirements (see the Program of Studies) and are also used as a measure for the high school program overall. Please ensure that your child has had a good night's sleep and breakfast before taking this test. Below you will find links to brochures from the state that explain more about the tests. These links can also be found on the D.H.H.S. website.

The CAPT testing dates are on the school website calendar. All CAPT testing will take place at the start of the school day. It is imperative that students are on time for testing. After testing, students will report to their regular classes for the remainder of the day. On exam days, you may make arrangements to pick up your child after CAPT testing ends or students may wait in the LMC or Dining Hall for the busses that run when trimester exams are completed (12:15).
