Kokoruda said in a prepared release that getting the state’s ailing budget back in the black and unemployed Connecticut residents back to work will be her top priorities. She said her experiences running a non profit and serving on the Madison Board of Selectmen make her a uniquely equipped freshman legislator.

“After years of putting our town budget together and years of worrying about cutting services and keeping our town affordable for our seniors – I am truly looking forward to helping our state government better serve small towns like Madison and Guilford,” she said in the prepared release.
