Rocky Neck Is Full July 4; DEP Says Head To Hammonasset

July 4th Holiday Is In Full Swing At CT Beaches

The state Department of Environmental Protection is reporting that the parking lot at Rocky Neck State Beach in East Lyme is full, and is directing beachgoers looking for some sand to in Madison.

According to the Rocky Neck Twitter feed, "Parking lots are full to capacity and entrance to the park is now closed, however Hammonasset State Park exit 62 off I-95 is still open."

The DEP's Hammonasset Twitter feed is reporting all campsites are full today but the beach parking remains open.
