Q: I'm Not Yet Registered To Vote. Can I Still Vote In The Referendum Tuesday?

A: Yes. Here's information on how to do that.

A: Yes.

We spoke to Madison Town Clerk Nancy Martucci on Friday and this is what she said.

Unregistered voters have until Monday at noon to come into the Madison Town Clerk's Office at 8 Campus Drive, off of Duck Hole Road, just north of the Hammonasset Connector in town. They need to bring a ID, such as a driver's license and they can register to vote. Here is some information from the CT Secretary of State's Office about registering to vote, and other forms of ID that are accepted.

If you are a property owner in Madison, and not registered to vote, you can still vote if you own over $2,000 worth of property in town. Martucci said the poll workers should have access to the town's Grand List at the polls on Tuesday.

If you are going to be out of town Tuesday, you can vote by absentee ballot. For full information about voting by absentee ballot for the referendum, please see the Madison Town Clerk's website.

For information about where to vote and what's on the ballot, please see our earlier story.

Editor's note: This story has been corrected on Saturday, May 11, 2013 to note that ID is required, but it does not have to be a photo ID. Please see the link to the Secretary of State's Office above for a full list of IDs allowed when registering to vote.
