Work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 20th and is anticipated to be complete by mid-August, prior to the beginning of the start of the school year.

Temporary signage indicating detour routes around the work area will be installed the week of June 11th in the vicinity of the project.

Middle Beach Road, between Island Avenue and East Wharf Road will be open to local traffic throughout the construction period, however in the vicinity of the work area, traffic will be limited to one lane in the westbound direction.  In addition, the traffic direction for the section of Tuxis Road between Middle Beach Road and Prospect Street will be reversed to be one way in the northbound direction.

Motorists should expect temporary delays at times dependent on the phase of the contractors operations.  Please exercise caution when traveling through the construction limits and be aware of workmen present in the road.
