Madison Post Office Hours Changing

Change will go into effect March 31st.


The Madison Post Office will open to the public a half hour later starting March 31st, according to signs posted at the post office.

The new hours will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday. The post office currently is open the public at 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.

The post office, at 781 Boston Post Road, will process passport applications from 10 a.m to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to anther sign on the post office.

They need to have the extra half hour to wait on all the people standing in line ! Maybe they should just add an extra employee at the counter, because every time you walk in it takes a minimum of 20 minutes to get back out.

It is the management. Go to Clinton and a line starts to build, help is called for and another clerk arrives. People get served and go away happy. Bud

When I can, I go to the Guilford post office because the lines are shorter and faster, in my experience, than in Madison. Also Guilford is open later (til 5:30 Monday through Friday and 1:00 on Saturdays). That said, I'd hate to have the Madison post office be closed down.
