Is This Forecast For Real?

Let's hope so.

After a weekend that included quite a bit of rain and a tornado watch for much of the state, it looks like better things are ahead for Madison and the shoreline. The forecast for the week is looking like nothing but sun, the National Weather Service says

"High pressure will ... slowly build from the west and remain into much of the week," the NWS said. "A cold front will approach from the north Friday night and move through on Saturday."

While Tropical Storm Leslie is expected to reach minimal hurricane strength by Monday evening, the NWS is predicting that it will pass well east of the mid-Atlantic Coast. "Other local impacts from Leslie will be continued dangeros rip currents and possible beach erosion," the NWS said.
