Freeze Warning In Effect From Late Friday Night Through Saturday Morning

We could see frost on the ground Saturday morning, but the rest of the day is expected to be sunny with a high near 51 degrees.

 

A freeze watch is in effect from late Friday night through Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday morning could bring widespread frost, the NWS says. Temperatures could drop low enough to kill crops and other sensitive vegetation, the NWS says.

The extended forecast for Madison is as follows:

Friday: A slight chance of showers between 1pm and 3pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 55. North wind 6 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Friday Night: Widespread frost after 3am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 30. North wind 6 to 10 mph.
Saturday: Widespread frost before 9am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 51. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 8 mph in the morning.
Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. Southwest wind around 6 mph.
Sunday: A slight chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 68. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54.
Monday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 67. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Monday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
