The Chris Coutu for Congress campaign today announced the endorsement of the Madison Republican Town Committee.
“We are grateful for the support of the Madison committee,” said Coutu campaign manager Chris Covucci. “Voters are tired of career politicians like Joe Courtney. After 25 years in politics, Courtney has lost touch with voters and common sense. Amazingly, Courtney still thinks we can tax, spend and borrow our way out of the recession.”
Covucci continued, "Unlike Courtney, Chris Coutu is not a career politician. He is a citizen leader ready to step up and serve his community. Chris is going to Washington to represent the common sense values of Connecticut's hardworking families."
Madison is the tenth town committee to endorse Coutu. Coutu has more town committee endorsements than any other candidate for Congress or Senate in the state.
Coutu is currently training in South Carolina as part of his Army National Guard commitment. His training assignment lasts two and a half months and began in February. Coutu is a 17-year veteran of the military having served as a technical sergeant and now as a second lieutenant in the Army National Guard.
