USCG, Emergency Responders Come To Aid Of Disabled Boat In Thimbles

USCG New Haven Station says the boat is disabled, but is anchored and receiving assistance as of 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

 

The United States Coast Guard and Branford emergency response officials have responded a report of a 40-foot pleasure craft, with four people on board, that appears to have struck some rocks in the vicinity of Flying Point in the Thimble Islands Sunday shortly after 1 p.m.

Branford and the USCG New Haven station have launched boats to assist in the rescue and the USCG reports that the craft, while disabled, is anchored and is receiving assistance.
