Two Madison Police Officers Resign

Officer Samuel Brown resigned for family reasons and Officer Michael Pugliese resigned to take a new job elsewhere, according to Madison Police Chief Jack Drumm.

 

Madison Police Officers Samuel Brown and Michael Pugliese have resigned, Madison Police Chief Jack Drumm said during a Board of Police Commissioners meeting Thursday night.

Brown has already left the department, citing family reasons for his departure. Pugliese's resignation would be effective later Thursday night, Drumm said.

Drumm said that one additional position remains unfilled from a spate of retirements earlier this year.

So that leaves three positions to be filled to bring the department up to its optimal size of 28, Drumm said.
