State Police Investigate Rash Of Burglaries In Nearby Durham
Thieves have been targeting jewelry and computer equipment inside homes, according to police. The victims live on Saw Mill Road, Tuttle Road, Madison Road and Lexington Place.
State Police are investigating a string of residential burglaries, as well as a car break-in in Durham over the course of the last two weeks, Resident State Trooper Pete DiGioia said Wednesday.
It's not clear if the crimes are connected but the thieves targeted jewelry and computer equipment, according to DiGioia.

The victims live on Saw Mill Road, Tuttle Road, Madison Road and Lexington Place. An unsuccessful burglary on Saw Mill Road is under investigation as well, he said.
"We also had a car break-in on Haddam Quarter Road. The car was locked but a window was smashed to get in," DiGioia told Patch. In that case, four laptop computers that had been placed in the car's backseat were stolen.

The car break-in happened soon after the resident returned home from work around midnight, Digioia said.
