Physician At Shoreline Health Center Arrested, Charged With Alleged Sexual Assault Of Patients

Dr. Tory Westbrook, who used to work at the Community Health Center of Clinton, which serves the shoreline, is arrested and charged with five counts of sexual assault, police say.

 

Dr. Tory Westbrook, 43, a resident of Glastonbury, CT, turned himself in to the after learning of several warrants for his arrest.

Police say he was charged with five counts of sexual assault in the second degree with a $150,000 court set bond; sexual assault in the second degree with a $150,000 court set bond; sexual assault in the second degree; and sexual assault in the fourth degree with a $150,000 court set bond. After a five month investigation with the assistance of the Chief State's Attorney Office in Middletown, the Chief State's Attorney Medicaid Fraud unit, the Connecticut Department of Public Health and the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Drug Control Unit, the Clinton Police secured three separate arrest warrants for the arrest Dr. Westbrook.

According to police, Dr. Westbrook was a physician with the in Clinton until his separation of employment in February of this year.  Police said they received complaints of alleged inappropriate sexual contact by Dr. Westbrook from patients at the center. Police interviewed a number of victim patients who reported he sexually assaulted them during medical appointments at the Clinton office. The alleged assaults occurred from 2010 and continued through January of 2012. 

As stated, Dr. Westbrook turned himself in to the Clinton Police after learning of the warrants for his arrest.  Dr. Westbrook was processed and held on bond. He is scheduled to appear in Middletown Superior court June 5.
