New Haven Man Arrested In Undercover Operation

Guilford police used undercover tactics to arrest a 30-year-old New Haven man accused of seeking sex with a minor, the New Haven Register reported.

According to the article, Mark Swain was allegedly planning to meet someone at a hotel but was instead met by undercover Guilford detectives and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

"Swain had allegedly contacted someone he believed to be 15 years old over the Internet in an attempt to entice the person to meet with him for sex," police said in the article. "He faces charges of second-degree attempted sexual assault, attempted risk of injury/impairing the morals of children and attempted enticing a minor."
