Man Whose Ex-wife Found Dead Last Year Arrested For Larceny

Barbara Hamburg had been beaten and stabbed

Madison police today arrested Jeffrey R. Hamburg, formerly of Madison, on a charge of first-degree larceny.

Hamburg’s ex-wife was found dead in the yard of her rental home on Middle Beach Road in town on March 3, 2010.

Hamburg, who is 63, was arrested after “a lengthy investigation into a larceny from a custodial account,” police said in a statement.

His last known address, police said was West Hartford.

Hamburg was released on a $50,000.00 Cash Bond, police said. He is scheduled to appear in GA 23 in New Haven on Oct. 4.

Barbara Hamburg was found stabbed and beaten. The Hartford Courant quotes a Madison police spokesman as saying today's charge is not connected to the homicide.
