Liberty Bank Robbery Suspect Identified

Suspect's vehicle seized, arrest pending, name withheld at this time.

 

On Dec. 6, 2011, the members of the Madison Police Department Criminal Investigation Division and the North Branford Police Department Criminal investigation Division with the cooperation of the Plainfield Police Department, New Haven Office of the FBI and Members of the Connecticut State Police identified the primary suspect in connection with the November 18, 2011 Liberty Bank Robbery in Madison, police said Thursday.

Police were also able to locate the suspects vehicle, a Geo Tracker, which was the vehicle used in several of the areas other bank robberies.  The vehicle was seized and brought to the Madison Police Department.

Madison and North Branford Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant on charges relating to the November 18th robbery.  The suspect's name is being withheld at this time pending an arrest.

Subsequent investigation revealed that the same individual may also be responsible for the recent bank robberies in Waterbury, North Branford, Meriden, Essex and Plainfield.
