"Distraction Burglary" Reported On Ridge Road In Madison

Madison Residents are urged to keep doors and windows locked, even when home. Residents are also asked to contact the Madison Police Department to report any suspicious activity in their neighborhood.

From the Madison Police Department: 

On October 26, 2013 at 1630 hours a resident of Ridge Road, Madison, became the victim of a distraction burglary.  A Hispanic Male approached the homeowner claiming that he was performing tree work in the neighborhood.  While this individual was engaging the homeowner in conversation, an unknown person entered the dwelling through an open garage door into the basement.  Cash was taken from inside the residence 

The Hispanic Male is described as, 25 years-old, 5’06”, thin build with bushy hair.  At the time, he was wearing a dark colored wind-breaker and jeans.  He was observed driving a newer-model dark colored (possibly grey) pick-up truck.
