Burglary Crews In Surrounding Towns Prompt State Police Advisory

Killingworth Resident Trooper Matthew Ward issues advisory relating to burglaries in and around Killingworth, Deep River, Middlefield, Durham. "Entry was gained through unlocked windows and doors."

Killingworth Resident Trooper Matthew Ward has issued the following advisory Tuesday:

"Be advised there has been several more residential burglaries in and around Killingworth. There were two in Killingworth on Wednesday, one in Deep River on Tuesday, two in Middlefield on Thursday and two in Durham last week. Entry was gained through unlocked windows and doors with jewelry and other miscellaneous items taken.

No vehicle descriptions or suspects at this time.

We made an arrest of two burglars in Durham on Oct. 7 and a separate burglary came in after they were in custody. There appears to be several crews out there committing burglaries and we want everyone to be vigilant and any report suspicious activity.

Notify us of any people soliciting landscape work, replacement windows or other services. Recent arrests were made by DEP of the for the car breaks at Chatfield Hollow State Park no link at this time to the residential burglaries. Thank you in advance for your assistance."

Madison police said Madison has experienced a couple of burglaries in recent days, that they are being investigated, and that there are suspects in these cases. They said that the Madison burglaries at this point do not appear to be related to the burglaries in surrounding towns.
