Accident On Route 9 Near I-95 Results In Fatality, State Police Say

A traffic accident on Route 9 at Exit 2 near the interchange with I-95 in Old Saybrook around 9:15 p.m. Sept. 14 has resulted in a fatality, according to Connecticut State Police.

State Police spokesman Lt. Paul Vance said he did not yet know the identity or gender of the accident victim, but that state police are investigating.

"I can confirm that there was a fatality and that investigators are at the scene," he said.
