My name is Petra Axlund Stegman and I am the owner of Inner Strength Yoga on Wall Street in Madison. I am also a Personal Trainer, Diet Coach and a Journalist. And this is my blog where I am going to write about yoga, wellness, mindfulness, fitness, health and diet.
I just finished my regular Sunday morning Power Vinyasa Class down at my yoga studio. And even though the class is very physically challanging the focus is as always on the breath. First come breath, then the asanas (yoga poses). Today I also had "gratitude" as a big focus in my class. We run thru our lifes, constantly stressing to get to the next place and next great thing, that we think is going to make us happy. We analyze the past and plan the future. But if we´re never present we´re never gonna really live our lives to the fullest.
So take a short second right now. Stop whatever you are doing. Put your hands on your heart, close your eyes and think of a moment when you were really grateful. And be here now.
