Superintendent Scarise, Rep-Elect Taubes Take Part 3rd Grade Debate

This was a debate between Alex Taubes, Democratic State Representative Elect for Madison and Durham and Tom Scarise, Superintendent of Madison Schools.

They debated to 3rd grader's at Jeffrey School.

There were 2 topics: Should February vacation be taken away and Should Chocolate milk be banned from the school cafeteria.

After both candidate's gave their sides, the students were able to ask and add comments to both sides and then cast their votes.

Not surprising that Alex Taubes won both debates. He has been debating since jr. high school and is currently has won several debates while attending Boston University and presently at Yale Law School.

Mr. Scarise did a fabulous job for this being his first debate.

February vacation should stay in the school calendar and chocolate milk should stay in the schools.

The kids were so into both of these debates even thought they knew at the end it was make believe.
