Patch's Poll: Have You Gone Lin-sane?

New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin has taken the basketball and pop culture worlds by storm. Are you a fan?

New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin has gone from Harvard to the NBA, and from being a no-name to being a big name.

He's gotten so big that sportswriters are beginning to run out puns involving his name. Stephen Colbert has gotten in on the joke. Even late night talk show hosts are clamoring.

How about you? Are you a fan of this young man? Take our poll.

Hey Rick these polls are interesting and I like hearing the input of the community and seeing what there take is. How about you stop writing negative comments and vote on these polls! Or how about RIck you make your own poll seeing who hates these polls because I bet more people will vote for the polls!

I agree with you, Rick. Our local Patch websites could be great sources of local NEWS and comments. Lately, it's all Patch polls about Punxsatawny Phil and other nonsense. When a local comment on a local issue does appear, it is quickly knocked off the board by comments, which come from all over southern CT in regard to these "polls." Meanwhile important local issues are completely overlooked. The polls can be fun, but please limit them to once or twice a week!

Hi everyone, thanks for the feedback. Monday-Friday at 4 p.m., we post a poll of regional interest on all 8 Patch sites in southeastern Connecticut. Often they touch on serious and important issues in the region, and sometimes I try to lighten things up. With all the bad news that surrounds us every single day in our lives, sometimes I think it is nice to just be a little silly. Have a great day.

I don't care about basketball, but love Jeremy Lin! That video of him taking the shot at the last minute the other day is awesome! http://youtu.be/p3YUHIvWvE8. Lin for the win!
