“Thank you Residents”

The Blizzard of 2013 will go down on record as to one of the most challenging snow storms. While our trucks were chained up in anticipation, we reached a point where even our emergency vehicles became ineffective. We would like to thank Pem McNerney of the Patch for posting an emergency request for access to a snowmobile for effective responses to medical emergencies. Alice DeGrasse offered up her snowmobile and Joseph Kelly offered a trailer to help transport it to remote areas. While Alice and Joseph were first to respond, we are pleased to say within several hours we had 5 other residents who volunteered the use of their snowmobiles.

On the side of our rescue truck are the words “Neighbors helping Neighbors." Never have truer words been spoken.

The North Madison Volunteer Fire Company thanks the residents, police department, town services ,and all who pitched in to support Madison during the storm.
